“Woodies on the Wharf” Since 1995, and the first Woodies on the Wharf car show in Santa Cruz, California, it has been a hit! This year was no exception as it was a spectacular success with over 200 of the custom and classic woodies on display. The attendance numbers aren’t available yet but while I was there it was large, well into the thousands, all generally friendly and polite, taking care to stand back while photos were being shot. The weather couldn’t have been any better, temperatures were in the mid 70s to low 80s with a nice little sea breeze. Just a beautiful day with stunning views of the ocean, the Santa Cruz beach and boardwalk as a back drop.
This is a car show but there were many motorcycles parked along the wharf and some were awsome. The Woodies were fantastic! Some very rare, as in a couple classic 1930s or 1940s Rolls Royce woodie for example. Unfortunately I didn’t get the model and year info.
